Installing the SharePoint service

SharePoint is a collaboration platform from the Microsoft stable. We can build apps with Boomi Flow that work with SharePoint.

We will begin by installing the SharePoint service to our Flow tenants.

Based on our organization’s SharePoint access rights, the Boomi Flow integration with SharePoint may need to be authorized. Click here for the authorization link, or copy-paste this to a browser: https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/authorize?client_id=061011a1-7d58-4ed1-abc4-4e643f0b53ce&response_type=code&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fflow.manywho.com%2Fapi%2Frun%2F1%2Foauth2&nonce=123456&resource=00000002-0000-0000-c000-000000000000&prompt=admin_consent

Here is how we can install the SharePoint service:
  1. Click LOG IN to login to the Boomi Flow Drawing Tool.
  2. Select Services from the sidebar.

    This opens the services tab.
  3. Click Install Service.

This opens the New Service screen.
  4. Copy-paste ManyWho Sharepoint service in the Name field.
  5. Copy-paste https://services.manywho.com/api/sharepoint/1 in the URL for the service field.
  6. Click Continue. This opens a screen where we can add our configurations for the service.
  7. We will leave the authentication strategy blank for now. Click Select or Create a new Value for Username.
  8. Click Create a new Value.
  9. Copy-paste ManyWho SharePoint service: User name in the Name field.
  10. The kind of value should be set to String. Copy-paste your SharePoint user name in the Default Value field, and click Save.
  11. Click Select or Create a new Value for Host.
  12. Click Create a new Value.
  13. Copy-paste ManyWho SharePoint service: Host in the Name field.
  14. The kind of value should be set to String. Copy-paste your SharePoint site name in the Default Value field. The host is the domain from your SharePoint URL. For example, if the URL is https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx, then the host is https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com.
  15. Click Save.
  16. Click Select or Create a new Value for Password.
  17. Click Create a new Value.
  18. Copy-paste ManyWho SharePoint service: Password in the Name field.
  19. The kind of value should be set to String. Copy-paste your SharePoint password in the Default Value field, and click Save.
  20. Click Continue.

This installs the SharePoint service in our tenant, and we get a confirmation screen.

The SharePoint service is now added to our tenant, and ready to be used.
