Page layout — Text

Components let us split our app UI into independent, reusable pieces. A page layout in Flow has the following components:

Content – Hidden | Presentation | List | Outcomes | Image
Input – Input | Radio | Checkbox | Toggle | Text | Rich Text | Combobox
Data – File Upload | Table | Files | Tiles
Charts – Bar | Line | Pie | Doughnut | Polar Area

Let’s take a look at the text component.

Text

The text component lets us accept multi-line text input from the user.

Let’s do a quick preview to see what the text component looks like in action:

We can configure the height and width of the text area from the configuration panel, along with maximum characters.

Width and Height will be set to the rows and colsHTML attributes respectively. (In case you are wondering if this is similar to the good old HTML <textarea> tag, wander no more. It is.)
