Features

  • Client certificate authentication

Client certificate authentication can now be added when installing or editing a ‘Boomi Integration Flow Service’ service in your tenant. This enables Boomi Flow builders to easily add and manage X.509 client certificate authentication for any flow connecting to the Boomi Integration platform. (FLOW-960)

To add client certificate authentication when installing a new ‘Boomi Integration Flow Service’ service:

    1. Select Services from the left-hand menu on the Home tab.
    2. Click Install Service.
    3. Select ‘Boomi Integration Flow Service‘ from the Which Service would you like to install? drop-down menu and click Continue.
    4. Enter a Name for the service and configure the Atom Type and Path to Service as normal.
    5. Select ‘Client Certificate‘ from the Authentication Type drop-down menu.Client certificate authentication
      • Enter Client Certificate Data: Click Select or create a Value to either select an existing value or create a new value to store the certificate data (this value must be of the ‘String‘ content kind). Copy and paste the certificate into the Default Value field and save the value.
      • Enter Client Certificate Password: Click Select or create a Value to either select an existing value or create a new value to store the certificate password (this value must be of the ‘Password‘ content kind). Copy and paste the certificate password into the Default Value field and save the value.
    6. Click Set Configuration Values to set up your configuration values as normal, and save your new service.
    7. This service can now be imported as a shared element into your existing flows to allow client certificate authentication when connecting to the Boomi Integration platform.

Note: The new client certificate authentication fields can also be accessed when editing an existing ‘Boomi Integration Flow Service’ service, allowing you to manage and administer your client certificate setup once it has been added to a service.
