Working with the content editor

OVERVIEW

Boomi Flow uses a WYSIWYG content editor based on TinyMCE. You will see the content editor, as part of the configuration panel in the Step element, as well as the Presentation component of the page layout.

The editor lets you configure rich text for your end-users, and is super-simple to use.

Let’s take a look at some of the things you can do.

ADD HEADINGS

Select the text, click Formats, then Headings, and the heading you would like. There are six options — Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, Heading 4, and Heading 6 — in descending order of emphasis.

FORMAT TEXT

The editor lets you format text inline. The options include Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Superscript and Subscript. You also have the option of formatting the text as code.

You can align the text left, center, right, or justified.

You can increase or decrease indent.

To clear all formatting, select the text, click Formatting, and Clear Formatting.

INSERT IMAGES

Click the image icon or click Insert and then Image to pull up the Insert/Edit image dialog box. You have the option of adding an image description, and/or dimensions. You can also constrain the image proportions if you like. Click Ok when done.

INSERT A TABLE

Select Table to insert a table. (We did say, using the content editor is going to be easy!)

INSERT DATE/TIME

Click Insert and Date/time to insert the current date or time.

ADD LISTS

You can add unordered or ordered lists.

Bullet options include a default bullet, as well as Circle, Disc, and Square.

You can also add numbered lists. Number options include a default numbered set, as well as Lower Alpha, Lower Greek, Lower Roman, Upper Alpha, and Upper Roman.

ADD LISTS

You can insert any value from your tenant into the content editor by clicking Insert Value, which opens the Insert a Value dialog box, and selecting the value.
